they played it on friday the 13th (like the guy below, I was there - full moon/shooting star/"space" screens)

Greek Theatre, Berkeley, CA-- July 13, 1984
This show has its dull and bright moments-- but the "Dark Star" encore and the interesting transition of "Scarlet/Touch/Fire" make this a show worth listening to. The "Dark Star" lacks the spacey explorations that have made it so desirable, but Garcia takes it to some very interesting places. Just the fact they played it makes it exciting (I was there). The first set features a nice "Dupree's Diamond Blues" in the first set. Always was a pleasure to see the Dead play at the Greek Theatre-- especially at night. If you ever saw a show there-- then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

SET ONE Bertha-> Greatest Story Ever Told, Dire Wolf, CC Rider, Loser, Cassidy, Dupree's Diamond Blues, Hell In A Bucket-> Might As Well
SET TWO Scarlet Begonias-> Touch Of Gray-> Fire On The Mountain-> Women Are Smarter-> Drums-> The Wheel-> I Need A Miracle-> Stella Blue-> Sugar Magnolia
# ENCORE: Dark Star

My all time favorite STELLA: 4/19/82

overshadowed by the ravenspace this show is so well known for...but i've nevrr heard Jerry in better voice than on this stella, nor better accompaniment by Brent on keys...whole band is spot-on on this STELLA. Gonna make 'em shine.
